Carbon measurement methodologies:

Carbon Trust has taken the lead on establishing an international standard for carbon measurement. They are currently re-evaluating the intensive life-cycle assessment methodology used by three products in the label's initial unveiling.

Carbonfund.org has launched a label  the delineates products that have had their carbon content completely offset. The underlying measurement methodology relies on a cradle-to-grave life-cycle assessment with allowances for secondary data.

Climate Conservancy is currently in the trial phase of its own carbon assessment process, which relies on a cradle-to-grave life-cycle assessment.

Cooler Climate utilizes national economic input-output tables to help customers offset the carbon embedded in purchases from national retailers.

CarbonCounted.com is a not for profit that, in an effort to make it simpler, faster, and more accurate to determine a product's CO2e footprint, has developed a supply chain network connection system that allows private consultants to connect their clients CO2e supply chains in a transparent, public, real time supply chain.
